The uniform of delegations today is not simply a practical or aesthetic choice but is designed to simultaneously fulfil other goals. Being functional and technologically modern, the clothes must express the sense of belonging and origin of the athletes, while also highlighting local fashion culture and design traditions. The opening ceremony clothing brings the athletes together on the largest international stage, giving a visible shape to the national identity, at least for the duration of the sports festival.

The Estonian Sports and Olympic Museum's exhibition "Looking good for the Winter Olympics!" introduces the history of the creation of Estonian Olympic collections and their journey to ten winter Olympic sports events throughout the period after our restoration of independence. The exhibition is open until the end of March.
